Delivery & Returns

Hadleigh Jewellery & Gifts Returns / Exchange Policy for Online Orders only.

We understand that on occasions, customers will wish to return item(s) purchased online. If the item(s) purchased has a manufacturing fault, we will happily replace it. If a replacement is not available then we will refund your money.

There may also be times when you change your mind and we offer the following advice for customers returning goods:

  • All items must be returned within 14 days of the dispatch date.
  • Place a quick note within the return and advise us what you would like us to do, either refund or exchange. If you would like an exchange, tell us what you would like. Helpful information to help us to speed up the replacement would be relevant information pertaining to size, colour and style.
  • If a refund is requested, then this will be made against the original form of tender.
  • We strongly recommend that when returning an item, you use registered post, recorded delivery or another secure method of delivery. We also advise that you keep your returns receipt until you have received credit for your return and also ensure that goods are well packaged to avoid damage. We regret that we do not accept responsibility for returned items which do not reach us or which arrive damaged.


* For items returned without faults, we will charge for the initial postage, along with a transaction fee of £2.00.

None of the above terms affect your statutory rights when goods are faulty or incorrectly supplied.

Non-returnable items

Unfortunately, there are a few things Hadleigh are unable to offer an exchange or refund on. These exceptions are listed below:

  • When returning an item, please ensure that goods are returned unused, with all labels and tags attached and with their original, undamaged packaging. Hadleigh Jewellery & Gifts can only accept an item for exchange or refund if it can be sold in new condition. You can take the goods out of the packaging to try them out, but do not throw it away. Although your statutory rights will not be affected, the goods are second hand without the packaging and we may not therefore be able to exchange them.
  • For health & hygiene reasons, Hadleigh Jewellery & Gifts are unable to offer an exchange or refund on any item of body piercing e.g. Earrings. This is something which we cannot be flexible on.
  • If an item has been engraved, then we are unable to resell it in new condition. As such, Hadleigh Jewellery & Gifts are unable to offer an exchange or refund.
  • Special Orders which have been made especially for your exact requirements are very difficult to resell, and as such Hadleigh Jewellery & Gits are unable to offer a full refund or exchange.
